Empowering Malawi’s marginalized communities through education, health, infrastructure, and
climate-smart development.
At Centre for Education and Infrastructure Development (CEID) Limited,
we believe that incarceration should not mark the end of opportunity.
To bring practical, sustainable, and inclusive solutions to Malawi’s most underserved. We focus on restoring dignity, fostering independence, and building climate-resilient futures.
Inmates are among the most vulnerable and marginalized groups in Malawi, and CEID is committed to empowering them through education, vocational training, legal support, and reintegration initiatives-paving the way for a brighter, sustainable future.
To restore hope among vulnerable groups and communities affected by poverty, injustice, and lack of access to education and development.
Supporting students,
inmates, and teen mothers
with scholarships and training.
CEID is the first organization in Malawi to introduce structured technical education within prison stations.
Addressing HIV/AIDS,
malnutrition, and mental
health in underserved
areas.
Fighting gender-based
violence and ensuring
inmate legal rights.
We provide life-changing vocational and technical training to inmates and underserved communities, offering skills in carpentry, tailoring, agriculture, and renewable energy.
Many inmates lack access to fair legal representation. CEID addresses this through organizing camp courts across all prison stations, facilitating pro bono legal services, and advocating for alternative sentencing and fair trial processes.
To ensure equitable access to education, CEID invests in constructing and upgrading primary, secondary, and technical education infrastructure.
Our health programs empower teen mothers and marginalized women by combining health education, counseling, therapeutic nutrition, and vocational support.
